Re: This Weekend So Far

Mitchel and I did the standard "we don't roll on shabbos ride" (Big Lobowski reference).

We did Post Road -> Mill Hill -> Moores Hill -> Lawrence Hill -> Snake Hill -> Campus and back to North Woodmere. The other roads were merely connective tissue (raw beef reference) to the climbs. 73 miles, 17.5 average.

Did my north shore hugger, Port Wash, Roslyn, Sea Cliff, Glen Cove, Mill Neck. After Horseshoe and Frost Mill I skipped Mill Hill and the rest and just turned toward Chicken Valley and Wheatley. Rode hard and did some climbing. Average was a poky 16.4.

We stopped in Oyster Bay to get some food. Tomorrow is the yearly tri which Isaac will be doing too (good luck, Isaac!), so there were lots of riders and runners out there preparing and scouting the routes. From there we did Moore's Hill, 108 and Stillwell. We skipped the campus. I was beat and it was getting hot in the sun. Finished off at 57 miles. My average was 16.3, not as bad as I feared, considering how I was struggling on the climbs.
